Slab Leak Repair

Slab leak repair with minimal disruption to your floor.

A leak under a concrete slab can destroy flooring, warp baseboards, and undermine a foundation. Attaboy Plumbing detects the exact location and repairs it through a targeted access or reroute.

Under-slab leaks

How we find and fix slab leaks in Northern California

Slab leaks happen when water or sewer lines embedded in or below a concrete foundation start leaking. In the North State, hard water, soil movement, and older copper or galvanized systems make slab leaks more common in homes built before modern plumbing standards. The signs are easy to miss until damage is visible: warm spots on the floor, wet carpet, mildew, cracks, or a water heater that runs constantly.

Attaboy Plumbing starts with pressure testing and electronic leak detection to confirm whether the leak is on the hot or cold side and where the strongest signal is under the slab. We mark the location, then choose the repair path that fits the home. A direct access repair removes a small section of concrete, fixes the damaged pipe, and patches the floor. A reroute abandons the failed line under the slab and runs a new line through walls or ceilings, avoiding repeated concrete work when the line is in bad shape.

For sewer leaks under a slab, we often use camera inspection first to see whether the issue is a crack, offset, or root intrusion, then recommend spot repair, lining, or replacement depending on the pipe material and length of damage.

If you have damp floors, unexplained warmth, or a musty smell that keeps returning, schedule slab leak detection before the foundation or flooring takes more damage. Call (530) 405-9708.

Repair options

Direct access vs. reroute

Direct access repair

Best for a single, isolated leak in a pipe that is otherwise sound. We cut a small opening in the slab, repair the pipe, test it, and restore the concrete and flooring.

Reroute

Best for multiple leaks, aging pipe, or a line under a finished floor. The failed section is abandoned and a new pipe is run overhead or through walls.

Sewer spot repair

For sewer lines under a slab, we expose and repair only the damaged section after camera inspection confirms the exact location and cause.
